Movie and a Boyfriend...

My friend Cady and I took our kids to the Free Summer Movie.

They actually sat through the whole thing...Shrek the Third.

I thought it was a pretty good movie!

Birthday Muffins

I didn't feel like making my own cake or cupcakes

so yesterday morning I made chocolate chip breakfast muffins.

I thought I'd put a candle in one of them and take pictures.

Just a Note: Don't put a candle in a muffin...

RIGHT when it comes out of the oven...it melts inside!

I can honestly say that I never had a Barbie Birthday Cake!

I *think* its a little girls dream to have one...atleast for me it was.

Maybe someday I'll have my Barbie cake...

or I'll just live vicariously through Nina...

Because there's no way I'll let her go through life without one.

A True Princess? Maybe...

I was minding my own business when I hear

Nina screaming "MOM! MOM!" from her room.

So I grabbed my camera (just in case) and she

was dressed to impress...

She's no Dum-Dum...

But she really likes those Dum-Dum suckers!

Clean Up and Movin' In!

Yesterday was pretty busy.

Moulding was painted, doors had a second coat,

electrical outlets and switches were put in,

vacuumed, cubes brought in, desk top cut and put in...

PHEW! And The only thing I did was carry a couple cubes...LOL.

Outside view..kinda. Sun glares too much from the other window

to get a good shot from there.

This was just to get them in there and see what we can do with them.
The room seemed so big BEFORE the cubes were brought in!

Painting the French Doors!

I should have been able to move in yesterday...

but the moulding took longer than expected

and Tim mentioned that the doors had to be painted.

So my dad and I (and Nina!) started with Primer.

I didn't take pics yesterday of them finished...

they are just offwhite, nothing exciting.

This morning my dad is coming over to paint the moulding

and help me MOVE IN!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!

(Oh, don't worry about the windows on the doors...

they have plastic on them...)

Carpet! YAY!!!

Carpet has finally been installed! Yippee!!!

I think it looks great with the red and offwhite paint!

New Play House!

There was a yardsale just around the block from our house

and I saw this and HAD to buy it for her.

I've been looking for one EVERYWHERE!

I didnt want to buy it at full price because they are SPENDY! lol

But for $50...she'll get a lot of use out of it ;)

Areva Employee Car Show

We went to this car show on Saturday...

just employees of the place where my Father In Law works.

We just hung out and BS'ed most of the time.

Was nice to sit around and relax...

(without being at home...lol)
